I am really drawn to people who are passionate about what they do and what they believe in.  I love their energy and their contagious attitudes that just stick to ya.  Hang around Jeremy Blount for a minute and you’ll see what I’m talkin’ about.  I came across in my time with God this afternoon someone with a passion for wanting more of Christ. In Phillipians 3:7-11 NASB. Here Paul says whatever he thought was important in life before, is now considered worthless “in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.”   He uses passionate words of wanting to know Christ more, like “so that I may gain Christ”, and “may be found in Him”, and “that I may know Him”.  Paul couldn’t get enough of Jesus.   This is a great verse that I use to pray through.  I ask God to give me that kind of passion for Christ and His teachings and the things that matter most to Him.  More of Him and less of me. I pray that He will give me more passion to love and serve others.

This week I really took my eyes off the Lord and got distracted.  Forgive me Lord. He always takes me back.

Vicky Beeching  (the female version of Jeremy Camp) has a great song from her first cd called Captivated.

“I am captivated by You/may my life be one unbroken gaze/ fixed upon the beauty of Your face

I gotta share it with you. First legit comment on this post gets her cd brand new and free. I only have one.  I’ll send it to you. No joke.-ron
